Abstract
For the first time, head office staff employed by Cathay Pacific Airways are gathered under one roof in a self-contained complex heralded Cathay Pacific City. It comprises the headquarters office, the crew processing division, a staff hotel, leisure facilities, benefits and medical centre, a training centre, shops and restaurants. The complex establishes a clear identity for Cathay Pacific staff, unifying space standards and providing flexible accommodation in an environmentally sound and economic building. Architecturally, it is the image of lightness and modernity but with a solidity appropriate to an established high quality airline. Situated at the southeast corner of Chek Lap Kok Island, the development was designed by LD Asia and constructed by Dragages et Travaux Publics (HK) Ltd.
