Abstract
Gary Chang, director of Edge (HK) Ltd, was the winner of the Young Architect Award in 1996. Co-organised by Hong Kong Institute of Architects and the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) and sponsored by the Hsin Chong K N Godrey Yeh Education Fund, the award offers a three week study trip to the USA. Chang's aim was to look at the relationship between architecture and entertainment. He recalls his journey crossing the line between reality and virtuality in Orlando, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Los Angeles.
