Abstract
Solar responsive buildings have, for some time, featured highly on Hong Kong's architecture agenda especially when it comes to orientation and glazing. Last November, a seminar titled 'Intelligent Buildings, organised by the British Consulate General and supported by the Centre of Environmental Technology brought this and other issues relating to sustainable building design, construction and management to the attention of professionals. The following is an extract from a presentation by Richard Wilson, Overseas Development Director of UK headquartered Levolux Group of Companies, specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of blinds and shading systems, together with the control systems to operate them.
