Abstract
Away from the frenetic pace of the Asian Tigers, in a sleepy backwater of northern Africa, architects are searching out old styles that may still be relevant. Contemporary Moroccan architects continue to look back at traditional architecture for inspiration, and in so doing, are underlining a trend that other developing nations are following. Jeevan J. D' Mello reports (1) Hotel Tichka, Marrakesh (2) Sijelmassi House, Casablanca (3) Foissac House, Marrakesh (4) Mausoleum Mohammed V, Rabat (5) Moroccan Hotel traditions
