Abstract
Environmental aesthetic control aims to establish urban design principles in Hong Kong in order to achieve a green city with local cultural vibrancy and sustainability. Via three-dimensional design - or even via four-dimensional design if time is taken into consideration - the control will be applied to varying urban scales, from the whole city to a single district or a local neighbourhood, right down to details of the city and even street furniture such as lamp-posts, litter boxes, signs and utility accessories.
