Abstract
The Hong Kong Fire & Safety Exhibition 2001 will be held from 28 to 30 November 2001 at the Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre (HITEC). The event is aimed to bring together fire, safety and health care technology and eqiupment to industry professionals. This year, in a move to enrich the event base and content, the event is jointly organised by the Insitution of Engineers (Building Services Division/Building Division), the Ambulance Service Institute (Hong Kong Branch) and Together Expo Limited.
The theme for this year's event is A Safe City with Quality Life. The annual symposium will be held from the second day of show period and will review the contributions of fire engineering science, building construction engineering, building services engineering and emergency medical science towards building a safer city. Experts from various fields will present papers in their areas of expertise.
The Hong Kong Fire & Safety Exhibition 2001 will exhibit the latest fire fighting and rescue equipment, fire resistant building materials, fire extinguishing equipment, fire detection equipment, and related equipment and innovations. Professionals from Government departments, architecture practices, property development firms and manufacturing fields are among those expected to attend.
