Abstract
Progressive change has been a hallmark of SOGEA - the others being its personnel and experiential resources - since its formation in Asia in 1981. It is the construction arm of SGE, which was founded 140 years ago and its today one of France's oldest construction companies. SGE is the principal shareholder of CGE and, with an annual turnover of US$30-billion, is one of Europe's largest industrial groups.
As of June 1992, SOGEA and sister-company Campenon Bernard, the lead contractor on the Daya Bay (China) nuclear power station project, are cooperating on overseas construction projects. Raoul Dessaigne, SOGEA general manager, South East Asia, describes what makes this progressive company work.
