Abstract
At the junction of Ice House Street and Queen's Road Central is a small site where the Sing Pao Building used to stand. Although it was built a long time ago, it was an advanced high rise which maximised the site's potential, with pretensioned floor slabs providing as much usable area as possible.
However, it did occupy a valuable plot of land in the very heart of Hong Kong's prime business district, and so the owner, Sing Pao Newspapers & Publications Ltd, decided to redevelop it into an office building befitting the status of its location.
