Abstract
Asia's recent economic boom has given rise to unprecedented growth in the demand for electric power. Projections by gvernments in the region indicate that a substantial number of power generating plants will be built over the next decade. Substantial opportunities will be created for suppliers and contractors. In this article Neil Donohue and Andrew Tan of Baker & McKenzie set out briefly some of the fundamental issues addressed in the preparation of a construction contract for a power plant.
