Abstract
In the course of a construction project and the life of the building thereby constructed, it is rare if one or other of the parties involved does not at some stage consider making a claim against one or more of the other parties. Disruption to the progress of the project or an increase in its costs inevitably cause those involved to consider the available avenues for compensation. What, when, why and how such claims for compensation can be made are the constant subject of rulings by the courts in Hong Kong and around the world. (1) Damages for negligent advice (2) Limitation of claims (3) Global claims
