Abstract
Official Journal of the International Federation of Asian & Western Pacific Contractors' Associations
While IFAWPCA is essentially dedicated to the task of bringing about social and industrial complementation in Asia and the Western Pacific, it has not discounted the need for global co-operation, nor limited its activity to and for Asians.
IFAWPCA has led the way in fusing international construction federations in Europe, the Americas and Asia into an umbrella confederation to enhance the stature of the construction industry as a prime mover of socio-economic progress and a vehicle of industrialisation. Today, aside from its umbilical link to CICA and its sister federations (AGC, FIEC and UAE), IFAWPCA also has increasing interests in the works of the international labour organisation, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.
