Abstract
Creating a successful space that works on two levels is a challenge whatever its destined function. In the food and beverage industry the issue is arguably more acute. At Heaven On Earth, designers Zanghellini Holt Archtiects were presented with a ground and first floor eating and drinking establishment that had no direct physical connection other than an upper balcony. In this case, inventing a relationship between the two came down to subtle incongruity.
