Abstract
A government-backed competition to design a new Centre for Youth Development in Chai Wan could be the signal that the profession has been holding out for. That Hong Kong needs good architecture goes without saying, and one way of securing that fate - although by no means a guarantee - is to call out for ideas and designs through the competition process.
