Abstract
Many local performing groups always have to encounter the problems of seeking performing venue. The existing venues such as Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Shatin Town Hall and Tsuen Wan Town Hall, with a capacity of some 1,000 seats respectively, are too large for them to attract enough audience, whilst most of the community arts centres cannot fulfill their requirements whether in terms of size or facilities. The newly completed Kwai Tsing Theatre and Yuen Long Theatre, which are specially developed for the potential market of medium-sized theatre in the New Territories, have now become hot topics among the enthusiasts for performing arts.
