Abstract
Internal division has an effect on indoor velocity for providing comfort. This paper presents the effect of ceiling, partition and floor design on indoor airflows pattern of traditional dwelling in urban living quarter of tropical humid region.
The building model is representative of two storied building in Cayenne-Guyana France and Semarang-Indonesia (Tropical humid region). The 35 measurement points were designed to study the effect of interior design on the average velocity coefficient, and the coefficient of spatial variation at slice of 1.00 m above floor level (for sitting position).
