Abstract
The presentation Ceremony of the Structural Awards 2002 of the Joint Structural Division of the HKIE and IStructE (HK Branch) was held on 21 November, 2002. Ir Dr. Ching-Kwong Lau, President of the HKIE, presented the awards to the winners. The Footbridge of Cheung Kong Centre which was designed by Ove Arup and Partners (HK) Ltd. Won the Structural Special Award 2002, whilst the West Rail Viaducts designed by Benaim (China) Limited was given the Structural Commendation Award.
The Joint Structural Division organizes the annual Structural Awards in recognition of the high quality, outstanding structures in Hong Kong. The winners are recongnized for excellent standard in design, value and safety.
