Abstract
今時今日,只少數建築物使用鋼質屋面板作屋面和牆面材料.有80年代,John Lysaght這名牌被視為工業大廈鋼質屋面板的首選.然而眾所周知,大部分工業家現己將生產線移至中華人民共和國或其他亞洲國家.其實鋼質屋面板和結構樓板也能應用於多種不同類型的建築物和功能,但對於香港的建築師來說，屬新鮮的意念. 因此3名Johan Lysaght的前職員在1997年11月成立科鋼建築材料有限公司,在香 港發展鋼質屋面板和結構樓板產品.

Nowadays, steel cladding is used as roofing and walling materials only in a few buildings. In 1980s, the famous brand name of John Lysaght was regarded as the first choice of steel cladding for industrial buildings. However, as we know, most industrialists have moved their production lines to PRC or other Asian countries. Indeed, steel cladding and decking can also be applied to many different buildings and purposes, though the idea is still fresh to Hong Kong architects and engineers. As a result, three former staff of John Lysaght have established Duro Steel Building Products Ltd. in November 1997 to develop steel cladding and decking products in Hong Kong.
