Abstract
The use of detailed simulation program (DSP) to analyze the energy performance of existing buildings can assist facility managers to select energy efficient retrofit programs and to implement operational energy saving strategies. This study makes use of the DOE2.1E energy simulation program to study the energy performance of an existing building as well as to explore the energy efficient retrofitting and operational strategies. The results of this study indicate a possible energy saving up to 33.5% from the selection of appropriate retrofit coupled with no cost operational strategies.
